S'ils n'ont pas de pain, qu'ils mangent de la brioche ! Nous connaissons tous cette célèbre citation, attribuée à Marie-Antoinette, qui aurait été prononcée pendant la disette de 1789 : s'ils n'ont pas de pain, qu'ils mangent de la brioche ! ... Qu'ils mangent de la brioche !).

This project is a collaboration between UNC School of the Arts, Wig and Make-up, costume and props departments. In this photo shoot I was the artistic director. The concept of a French queen in the 18th century, waking up the morning after the ball, possibly ready for another day of lavish gatherings with guests.
