My name is Sonia. Born and raised on the tiny little island of Malta in the center of the Mediterranean, fate brought me to the United States in 2001 to start a family. I am now a very lucky mom to two handsome boys and an amazing daughter. All my life, I have been an artist, studied and loved the arts and creativity. I have created mixed media art pieces and accessories, designed interiors textiles; I build stuff; I putter with what takes my fancy. Meanwhile, I also acquired a love for photography. I love history and all things of the past. Having close family and friends spread in all continents, I consider myself a worldly person, very knowledgeable in a variety of subjects and always curious about different cultures and traditions.

 Additionally I founded a publication in 2010, Creating Vintage Charm, a magazine that inspires and shares reader's excitement in creating a vintage inspired home. During my publishing venture, I connected with many amazing artists, interior stylists, designers and antique dealers worldwide. After a fun, five year run, I decided to return to school and pursue my dream of a career in the entertainment and performance arts. Attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts will allow me to be an artist for life as a entertainment, stage and film production designer and artisan.
